Andrew Krimm

Andrew Krimm began studying viola in Dallas at age 7, performing as Principal in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and at the city’s nationally-renowned Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.  While earning a Bachelor’s in Music at University of Colorado, Krimm served as Principal Violist for the University’s Opera, Chamber, and Symphony Orchestras, and played in the Aspen Festival Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute.

In 2011, Mr. Krimm moved back to Dallas to pursue a Performer’s Diploma at Southern Methodist University.  While in attendance, Andrew helped to found the Altius Quartet. In 2013 Altius Quartet was awarded a one year residency making the quartet SMU’s first Ensemble-in-Residence. During their residency Altius Quartet presented two concerts, won first prize at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition, and were awarded the Silver Medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.

Andrew is the most outrageous, most obsessive, and at times the most heart broken Dallas Cowboys fan in the world.
